Slipcovers can instantly revitalize or transform any homes current decorating scheme. This is something that we began to realize, and really appreciate, as we undertook the task of remodeling our house. The carpets were removed to display beautiful hardwood floors that just needed some refinishing. Then we painted the walls and replaced the window coverings. We were done. Or so we thought. But the room still lacked elegance and style. We then realized that our livingroom’s tired old pieces of furniture did not fit with all the changes we had done. But we did not want to go out and buy new furniture pieces since the current couch, loveseat, and chaise set were in good condition and the style fit the room. It was their color and pattern that did not fit. And that is where our new slipcovers came into play and solved our design dilemma.

As we delved into the world of slipcovers, we soon discovered how vast that world was. Slipcovers can come in a variety of sizes, shapes, designs, hand made or manufactured, and a large variety of materials. There were endless possibilities depending on what type of mood we wanted our room to take on. So we collected a lot of information as we tried to decide what would work for each room – our use of slipcovers had now extended beyond the living room to help in updating our dining room chairs and the bedroom chairs.
