If you found no slip cover matching your chairs and don’t want to order some custom made ones: maybe you really need some semi custom slipcovers. What exactly is this? Well, like its name implies, it’s half way to a full custom slipcover.

On a ready made slipcover, you get the closest match for your chair or couch, and hope it will fit perfectly. If you’re using a stretch slipcover, it will often stretch around your furniture, making it a secure and snug fit, unless you do like the loose fit look. On the other hand, a custom made cover is made specifically for your furniture – it’s like having a custom tailor made suit for you, it’s as good as it will get. The semi custom approach tries to bring that custom made option to the masses. You take some measurements and send it over the internet – and you’ll then receive a suitable covering. It closer to a full custom slipcover, but done remotely.

Although a semi custom slipcover will be more expensive than a ready made one, you’ll have to ask yourself if you can live with a loose fit slipcover that wrinkles all over your sofa, making it look far from perfect. It’s often better to save for a little while longer and get the right slipcover, than to haste it and waste your money.
